Service Terms

Scope of Services

Tommy Removals offers comprehensive moving services, including but not limited to packing, transportation, unloading, and unpacking of items. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer, ensuring a smooth and efficient relocation process.

Scheduling and Availability

Services are available Monday through Saturday with specific time slots subject to availability. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred dates and times. In cases of high demand, availability may be limited, and scheduling flexibility is advised.

Service Customization

Customers may request additional services such as specialized packing for fragile items, assembly and disassembly of furniture, and storage solutions. These can be arranged upon request, subject to additional fees.

Special Items Handling

For items of special value or requiring delicate handling, such as antiques, artwork, or electronics, customers must inform Tommy Removals in advance. We provide appropriate packing materials and handling procedures to ensure the safety of these items during transit.

Payment Terms

Pricing

All prices are quoted based on the information provided at the time of booking. Factors influencing the price include the volume of items, distance of the move, additional services requested, and any special requirements. Should there be any changes to these factors, adjustments to the final cost may apply.

Payment Methods

We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash payments. Full payment is required upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. In cases where a deposit is required, it will be communicated during the booking process.

Invoices and Receipts

Upon request, Tommy Removals will provide detailed invoices and receipts for all transactions. These documents include a breakdown of services rendered, costs incurred, and taxes applied. Customers are encouraged to review these documents for accuracy.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel their booking without penalty up to 48 hours before the scheduled service date and time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may incur a fee equivalent to a percentage of the total cost, as determined by the circumstances.

Refunds

Refunds for cancelled services will be processed within 14 business days using the original payment method. In cases where services have commenced before cancellation, refunds will be prorated based on the extent of services rendered.

Rescheduling

Customers wishing to reschedule their move can do so without incurring additional fees, provided the request is made at least 48 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours may be subject to availability and potential fees.

Liability and Insurance

Limitation of Liability

Tommy Removals is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our liability is limited to the direct provision of services as outlined in this Agreement.

Insurance Coverage

Basic liability insurance is included with all services, covering standard industry risks. For valuable or fragile items, additional insurance options are available upon request. Customers are encouraged to discuss insurance needs during the booking process to ensure adequate coverage.

Claims Process

In the event of damage or loss, customers must notify Tommy Removals within 7 days of service completion. Claims will be reviewed promptly, and compensation will be provided in accordance with the terms of our insurance policies.

Customer Responsibilities

Preparation for Moving

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and ready for transport. This includes disassembling furniture, labeling boxes, and securely packing fragile items. Proper preparation facilitates an efficient moving process and minimizes the risk of damage.

Access and Permissions

Customers must provide access to the property on the scheduled moving day. This includes securing any necessary permissions for parking, building access, and ensuring that pathways are clear for the moving team. Failure to provide access may result in delays or additional charges.

Compliance with Regulations

Customers must comply with all relevant laws and regulations related to their move. This includes ensuring that items being moved are legal and do not violate any prohibitions. Tommy Removals reserves the right to refuse service for any items deemed illegal or unsafe.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tommy Removals operates. Any legal actions arising from this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that area.

Amendments

Tommy Removals reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes via email or our website. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms will first be addressed through negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached amicably, the dispute will be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant arbitration body.

Termination

Either party may terminate the service in the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions. Termination will be effective immediately upon written notice. In cases of termination due to breach, no refunds will be issued for services already rendered.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of law, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely matches the intent of the original.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Tommy Removals concerning the use of our services. They supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether oral or written.

Force Majeure

Tommy Removals shall not be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor strikes, or governmental restrictions.
